Embracing the Off-Grid Lifestyle: A Journey to Fulfillment

Well we had plenty of questions and options ahead of us as we had made the decision to find a new region to call home. The first obvious to us options included somewhere that would be in a lot of ways the opposite of where we already lived in western Washington. We were looking for more rural, more freedoms, more conservative values, more space, less traffic and we made a list. Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, Montana, Idaho all were easy places to add. Then we started an online search for properties, jobs, weather and as time passed we realized that for us somewhere far away would be too much to tackle as we just didn't have any connections or enough resources to make the trips to check out the areas the logistics and costs just seemed too high. Idaho and Montana stood out for all of these reasons. Montana was honestly our first focus after that so we scoured the web for possibilities.
